Activity Therapist Opportunity - Per Diem

HRI Hospital is seeking Activity Therapists for our inpatient psychiatric units. This is a highly satisfying opportunity for a clinical professional who thrives on providing highly individualized care to a very acute patient population. We are hiring for a per diem position with hours available on weekdays and/or weekends.

HRI Hospital is -bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. As an Activity Therapist, you will:

• Run assigned treatment groups to meet the need of various functioning level and/or diagnostic categories
• Utilize interviewing techniques, observations, formal and informal screening/evaluation tools to assess functional level of patients
• Identify patients’ assets and problem areas
• Collaborate with patients in goal-setting
• Recommend appropriate activities for goal attainment and assist patients to select appropriate groups and activities
• Complete daily notes for each group

Qualifications

Requirements

• Education: Master’s in human services related field required. Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other expressive therapy speciality preferred.
• License: LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, or OT preferred
• Experience: One year prior inpatient clinical experience preferred. Six months prior experience as a group leader preferred.
