Position Overview

The Deli Evening Manager is responsible for the operation of the department in the absence of the Deli Manager or Assistant Deli Manager. Duties include :

• Managing department inventory, pricing, merchandising, and adherence to labor and safety rules.
• Ordering products and supplies and scheduling work to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Ensuring that all new department employees receive proper training and safety instruction on all equipment in the deli.
• Supervising correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise, and building of displays.
• Ensuring that all employees meet safety standards for operation and adhere to strict standards of sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene.
