Overview
The Senior Director, Information Technology – Enterprise Analytics & Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) leads a small, transformative team focused on building AI strategy and executing AI-enabled data & analytics programs across the enterprise. The role is a full‑time direct hire in Boston, MA with a hybrid schedule, requiring onsite presence at least 25% of the time.
Compensation
Base pay range : $225,000 – $250,000 per year
Additional compensation : Annual bonus and stock options
Location
Boston, MA – hybrid position, 25% onsite (1–2 days per week onsite as needed).
Responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional effort to establish comprehensive vision and roadmap for advancing enterprise data architecture, analytics and AI capabilities aligned with strategic corporate objectives.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, legal and infrastructure teams to refine policies and practices that ensure best‑in‑class data protection, ethical AI use and regulatory compliance.
Develop and execute results‑oriented project portfolio in alignment with enterprise roadmap and related best practice and policies, including periodic updates to senior management and multi‑year budget plans.
Provide day‑to‑day leadership for high‑performing data and AI project teams across multiple disciplines, partnering with business leaders to maximize ROI of each effort.
Ensure best practices in data modeling, governance, responsible AI application and compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies throughout project lifecycles.
Reinforce data‑driven decision‑making culture through the advancement of data literacy and access policies that support growth of responsible and secure self‑service analytics capabilities across the enterprise.
Plan, operate and manage enterprise‑wide data and metadata technology platforms and infrastructure, including the advancement of enterprise‑scale analytics and data lake / warehouse solutions and associated data catalog / Data quality programs.
Champion emerging AI technologies and lead forums focused on engaging colleagues to transform impactful innovation opportunities into action plans across the enterprise.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
15+ years of experience in data and analytics; 5+ years in next‑gen AI‑related roles; 7+ years in leadership positions.
Must have industry experience within Life Science, Medical Device, Biotech or Pharmaceutical organizations.
Hands‑on experience designing and delivering large‑scale, business‑oriented data, analytics and AI solutions (e.g. GenAI).
Experience working with senior business leaders to develop roadmaps for impactful AI applications (operational efficiencies, new business growth).
Experience building, deploying and maintaining proprietary LLM applications (internal Chat GPT tools) and other AI‑driven intelligent assistance (RPA, next‑best‑action).
Experience deploying advanced data management, analytics, visualization and AI platforms for enterprise data & analytics teams.
Experience building and operating solutions that meet regulatory (e.g. FDA) and corporate compliance requirements.
Experience collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, safety, regulatory, commercial and enabling functions within Life Science, Medical Device, Biotech or Pharmaceutical organizations.
Deep expertise in AI and data strategy, data architecture, engineering, governance and advanced analytics.
Proven ability to work with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Enterprise Architecture teams to deploy scalable, secure AI solutions.
Strong understanding of modern data stack and cloud‑based data platforms (AWS, Azure) and their data services.
Strategic, innovative thinker with grasp of new technologies, regulatory environment and competitive landscape.
Ability to align digital strategy with organization’s overall IT and security goals, ensuring innovative and secure solutions.
Vendor management experience (due diligence, contracting, performance management).
Strong leadership, decision making and coaching skills; ability to develop positive mentoring relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
