The Impact You’ll Make
Lam’s Manufacturing Supervisor I is responsible for developing and leading teams in a high-tech production environment. Responsibilities include coordination and alignment of resources to meet Lam’s safety, production and organizational objectives. Supervisors are expected to demonstrate Lam’s core values through professional conduct and a dedication to honesty and integrity. In addition to safety and production objectives, Supervisors are responsible for employee development, employee performance, and corrective actions, as well as collaboration with management, engineers, vendors and customers.
What You’ll Do
- Assign resources and activities based on production priorities, material availability, ship date, and personnel skill
- Monitor capacity, progression and risk of production line
- Address supply chain / logistics issues by following designated escalation paths
- Implement continuous improvement methods to reduce labor and production costs
- Complete employee performance reviews, create employee development plans and conduct regular one on ones
- Review and approve employee timecards
- Perform interview activities in accordance with organizational staffing plan

Establish production priorities and continuity during shift change through Supervisor pass-downLead / participate in staff meetings with leadership team; coordinate with supervisors to align operations and activities between departmentsCommunicate non-standard activities to affected stakeholdersEncourage teamwork through open communication and collaborative problem-solvingConduct quarterly check-ins with employees to monitor performance and provide coachingSupport employees by allocating time for concerns and feedbackCommunicate and educate direct reports on company policies and proceduresFacilitate and participate in production meetingsWho We’re Looking For
Minimum of Associates degree, or equivalent experience required2-4 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industryMinimum of 1 year of previous supervisory experienceAble to work 12 hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear)Proficiency with use of computer software and database applications (Microsoft Access / Outlook / Project / SharePoint, Recordkeeping software, Email, SAP, WorkTech MAXIMO, CMMS, Baton, KM Matrix, Share Point, iQMS, QLIKNavigate)Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak)Develop knowledge of HR Policies and proceduresManage, coach and mentor team membersAccess / sort information / organize thoughts / document / keep track of eventsRun / organize staff meetings utilizing PowerPoint / oral presentation / create own graphs / follow previous formatsProvide adequate resources needed for your group, manager your own budget, ensure that support materials are availablePhysical requirements include the ability to squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand, and reach outside neutral for over 50% of the time; ability to lift 35 pounds; able to distinguish colors.This posting is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities but constitutes a general definition of the scope and function of the position.
