Veterinary Assistant / Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Location : Gentle Care Veterinary Hospital – Hayward, CA

As an experienced Veterinary Assistant or RVT, you’ll play an essential role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering high-quality medicine.

What You’ll Do :

  • Assist veterinarians with surgical, dental, and diagnostic procedures .
  • Perform anesthesia monitoring, dental radiographs, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab sample processing .
  • Deliver compassionate, attentive patient care and clear communication with clients .
  • Support smooth daily flow by anticipating doctor and team needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace .
  • Contribute to team discussions, training, and continued learning opportunities .

Who You Are :

  • Experienced & Skilled : At least 2 years of veterinary experience preferred (RVT license a plus, but not required).
  • Team-Focused : You value teamwork, communication, and helping others succeed.
  • Compassionate & Professional : You advocate for every patient and provide education and reassurance to clients.

    Work-Life Balance : We currently operate Monday through Friday , with Saturday rotations planned to begin in 2026 . This adjustment will ensure consistent coverage while allowing team members to continue enjoying regular weekends off.
