The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey Certified HVAC Maintenance Dept (12) months- Full Time Start Immediately! REPORTS TO : Director of Building and Grounds The Educational Services Commission has made significant investments in BMS control upgrades at all of its locations and is now seeking a highly motivated / Energy Management Specialist to put those tools to use. This role is critical in ensuring that the district's facilities operate at peak efficiency while providing safe, comfortable, and healthy environments for students, staff, and visitors QUALIFICATIONS : Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent. Possess a valid drivers license for the type of equipment to be driven, with no serious violations. Demonstrate knowledge, a minimum of three years of experience, and proficiency in several areas of maintenance (e.g., plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry / concrete / tile,window glazing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, roof repair, plastering / spackling, field / playground maintenance, furniture repair, and small engine repair). Black Seal boiler license and Asbestos Certification preferred. REQUIREMENTS : Perform general maintenance and repair tasks in a variety of areas and as assigned by Director of Buildings and Grounds, in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations. Perform only those maintenance and repairs that do not require a license, or perform maintenance and repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed technician. Ensure that the work site and conditions are safe. Perform assignments insuring all schools and district sites may safely open and function. This includes working cooperatively with custodial employees during emergency operations. Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs. Ensure that all fire, safety, health, and environmental regulations are observed and exceeded. Maintain an adequate supply of parts and supplies usually used in repairs, and request needed supplies through the established procedures of the district.
