Market Research Analyst

Our corporate client is looking for a Market Research Analyst for their growing team! High-level details of this role :

  • Onsite requirements : 3 days onsite per week
  • Position type : Full-Time / Direct Hire
  • Start date : as soon as the right candidate is found, looking to move quickly

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the companys products and services, including product features and capabilities, strategies, market share, product and service positioning and messaging, go-to-market processes, differentiators, product goals and objectives
  • Lead the competitive analysis of the strategies, offerings, capabilities, market strengths and weaknesses of competitors
  • Research and analyze data to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitors activities and offerings
  • Apply both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to interpret data and identify trends
  • Plan and lead customer / user interviews and focus groups to understand customer needs for current and future product offerings
  • Provide actionable insights used to allow the company to make informed decisions about products, pricing, marketing strategies, and overall business strategies
  • Create and deliver reports and presentations that communicate your research findings to key stakeholders
  • Lead cross functional work teams with sales, product management, and business development to :
  • Translate customer / prospect feedback into product requirements and enhancements
  • Develop action plans on positioning, messaging, product launch strategies, sales enablement
  • Determine / evaluate the effectiveness of current channels
  • Create go-to-market plans for new products and services
  • Develop and implement action plans to counter the advantages of competitors
  • Map and analyze customer experience steps to identify / recommend improvement
  • The ideal candidate :

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Marketing Analyst, Market Researcher, or relevant role
  • Ability to effectively work within a matrixed organization, with multiple management / executive levels
  • Experience using statistical software and techniques for data analysis
  • Creative, analytical and technical aptitude
  • Preferred : BA / BS degree with advanced degree
  • Experience in education, ed tech, assessment or related field
  • Preferred background in working with companies that offer a diverse product portfolio
  • Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate how they have quickly learned a companys products and solutions.
