About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology for a locum tenens position at a hospital in California. This 120-day assignment begins on 01 / 05 / 2026, covering full-time hours Monday through Thursday from 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a wide range of outpatient dermatology cases, including general / medical dermatology, skin lesions, excisions, punch biopsies, biopsies, incisions, and single lesion clinic. This role requires expertise in managing a backlog of cases and the ability to handle any dermatological condition that presents. Epic experience is preferred, and there is potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient dermatology care
  • Manage a diverse range of dermatological conditions and procedures
  • Perform skin examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
  • Conduct various procedures including excisions, biopsies, and incisions
  • Handle a high volume of cases efficiently and effectively
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage a backlog of cases

Additional Information :

  • Must be licensed to practice in California
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in general and medical dermatology required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
