The Senior Director, Advanced Analytics will manage large scale, cross-functional analytical projects, which impact the entire
Casualty Business Unit
and / or corporate department. This role will provide strategic and tactical direction to the highest levels within their own function or department. The Sr. Director oversees analytical resources for a defined function or department and sponsors projects that drive change across the Casualty function and / or SBU / Corporate department as a whole. They will develop methods to measure effectiveness of all implemented programs and presents findings directly to senior management, up to / including SBU or department head. This leader will manage a team of highly-analytical people leaders and experienced individual contributors.
Responsibilities
Manages large scale, cross-functional analytical projects, which impact the entire SBU and / or corporate department.
Provides strategic and tactical direction to highest levels within own function or department. May present recommendations to senior leadership, including the head of an SBU.
Oversees analytical resources for a defined function or department.
Sponsors projects that drive change across function or SBU / Corporate department as a whole.
Develops methods to measure effectiveness of all implemented programs.
Presents findings directly to senior management, up to / including SBU or department head.
Manages a team of highly-analytical people leaders and experienced individual contributors or a smaller team of expert analytical individual contributors.
Qualifications
4+ years experience within casualty or 5 years leadership.
Ability to drive insights that feed innovation and strategies.
Collaborate and influence across multiple groups such as Actuarial, Product and others.
Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field; PhD helpful given quantitative work overseen.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in an analytically driven environment.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills are required.
Expert knowledge of data sources, tools, and business processes, including a sophisticated understanding of cross-functional operations and business drivers.
Expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques.
Proven ability to influence other leaders across an organization.
