Position Summary : Development Engineer

Location : Amphenol : Valley Green, PA (Harrisburg Area)

AICC, a division of Amphenol, is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom / Datacom market (Mobil Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM’s globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally.

We are currently seeking a Development Engineer to join our team. The position will be located in Valley Green, PA. As a Development Engineer for connector Mezzanine Products you will be responsible for concept , design, verification and qualification, as well as supporting new business opportunities. Ensure that the product design is manufactural and will meet the defined customer requirements - including electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements. The position will work as part of a global cross-functional team and include customer interaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conceptualize, design, and develop power connector solutions as required by the BU strategic roadmap and new business opportunities.
• Work with Front-end team and customers to define product / application requirements.
• Lead product design reviews and create and communicate technical presentations.
• Develop testing programs to ensure products work per design intent.
• Present product concepts to customers early in development cycle, interpret feedback, and incorporate any revised requirements into the design.
• Define Product, Application, and Packaging specifications.
• Define a verification and product qualification test plans.
• Work closely with NPI and manufacturing engineering to ensure products are transitioned to the manufacturing
