Job descriptionIndustry recognized certification. At least two years of experience teaching in a vocational setting. Prior experience developing curriculum related to industrial principles. Associate's degree Five years' relevant work experience Bachelor's degree with three years' related experience Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions. Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Position Summary :
The Industrial Maintenance / Automation program is seeking a qualified candidate for Adjunct. Responsibilities include teaching sections of courses within this program (Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics) during both daytime and evening hours, as well as participation in professional development and service to the division, college and community. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Required Skills :
- Thorough knowledge of NEC
- Ability to use curriculum to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment.
- Knowledge of safety in the industrial maintenance field.
- Ability to work with a variety of industrial tools and operations including pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending, rigging and lifting.
