Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Opportunity to join a CMDA member looking for a like-minded OB / Gyn to join this practice. This is a collaborative OB / Gyn and midwifery practice that has worked together since 2019, but independently since 2024. They believe in evidence-based, structured care centered around most current guidelines and evidence, while respecting the autonomy of their patients to make their own medical decisions. They also value close teamwork between all of their providers and staff. They value the concept of midwifery care for as many normal pregnant women as possible, with easily access to physician care (more similar to the UK structure). They have also found value of midwifery input into more complicated pregnancies as well. The CNMs provide normal prenatal care, well-woman care, contraception, and some problem gyn. They are first call for all labors where they deliver. Current physician does full-spectrum OB / Gyn with medically-complicated prenatal care and surgeries at hospital and an independent ambulatory surgery center. An ob / gyn candidate would be only the second ob / gyn for the group, but several factors help dramatically with the call burden : First, the CNMs take first call for all the labors, meaning the physicians are only backup call for complications or c-sections. Second, the hospital has an OB Hospitalist program, so there is always an in-house ob / gyn that can provide support. They are located in an area that has lost several ob / gyns in the setting of a rapidly growing population, and abortion laws since the Dobbs decision that have been a deterrent to recruiting. The whole community is short of ob / gyns, and they have a popular practice that is overflowing without any marketing since they opened April 2024.

Their practice visibly has a faith base, but is not overtly Christian. Not all the providers and staff claim personal faith, but many do. They have many faith flags , but it is their goal to meet each patient where they are at, and walk with them forward.
