Associate

A growing national firm is seeking an Associate to join their team in the Bay Area. This position will involve managing a litigation caseload and preparing for trial. You will be working in a dynamic environment where you will be expected to independently manage tasks and contribute to the team.

Responsibilities :

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, from case inception to trial
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
• Review and analyze discovery requests and respond accordingly
• Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings
• Prepare court filings and ensure service to counsel; experience with e-filing is a plus
• Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trials
• Maintain accurate time records relating to case management
• Use skills such as defending depositions, trial preparation, drafting motions, and arguing motions to effectively handle cases
• Utilize civil litigation experience to navigate complex legal matters.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• 2+ years of experience in civil litigation.
• The candidate must possess the ability to argue motions effectively.
• Demonstrable experience in civil litigation is mandatory.
• The associate should be proficient in defending depositions.
• The role requires skills in trial preparation.
• Drafting motions is an essential part of the job function.
