City Clerk Position

A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Law, Management, Political Science, Communications, or a related field, and at least six years of progressively responsible professional level experience in a municipal, county, state, or legislative environment. Must be or become a certified municipal clerk with the Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers' Association and International Institute of Municipal Clerks within 24 months of appointment.

This is an UNCLASSIFIED position and is therefore not governed by City Civil Service Rules. Applicants who meet the criteria and requirements stated on the job posting will be placed on a hiring list for consideration. Hiring Managers may interview / hire anyone from the list. You will be notified if you are invited to participate in the final selection process which may include an interview, job simulation, work sample submission, or other evaluation method. This position requires a background check which may include criminal history, and employment history as a condition of employment. We offer competitive pay and benefits, and generous leave programs. The salary range for this position is 95,555.20 - $141,024.00 with starting salary dependent on qualifications. The benefit package includes pension, vacation, other leave, deferred compensation, medical insurance, dental insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
