Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital assignment, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency in Cerner charting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Level III trauma center's cardiac catheterization lab
  • Daily caseload is approximately 12 cases
  • Patient population includes adult cardiac cases
  • Potential to float to Interventional Radiology if proficient
  • Possible floating to affiliate hospitals depending on census and volume
  • Shift options include 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts with start times at 6 : 00 AM or 7 : 00 AM
  • Call required every third weekend and 1-2 days per week (late or call shift)
  • Weekend and holiday shifts are call only
  • Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience is required
  • Scrub color is blue
  • Accepts first-time travelers
  • Travelers permitted up to two call-offs per assignment; more may end contract
  • Up to 8 hours of online modules to be completed prior to start
  • Professional conduct expectations are strictly enforced
  • Return staff must have a 3-year gap prior to returning as a traveler
  • No parking costs for staff
  • Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed; if RTO includes holidays, must be willing to work one of three holidays

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Cath Lab Technologist required
  • State license required; pending license accepted if active by start date
  • RCIS certification preferred but not required
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Must be willing to complete required certifications and modules prior to start
  • Candidate must live at least 50 miles from facility; locals not accepted
