Painter I

The Ocean Reef Club is seeking a Painter I to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the club's guestrooms, public spaces, and back of house areas in good repair. The Painter I will perform various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall coverings, and masonry.

Essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Complete assigned work timely, delivering a consistently quality finish to all painted surfaces keeping all surrounding surfaces and fixtures free of paint.
• Perform repairs on wood, sheetrock, and concrete surfaces to a seamless, smooth finish.
• Inspect guestrooms, public space, and back of the house areas to repair or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, exit lights, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting, or other miscellaneous repairs.
• Maintain a clean environment by picking up and removing debris on property.

The Painter I will also be required to have experience in using basic hand and power tools and ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push, and pull weights up to 80 pounds, climb ladders up to 30 feet high, and reach in all directions, often times overhead.

The position will require a combination of these functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the club.

There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and / or experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or any other combination of education, training, or experience of at least three years that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position is required.
