Booth Ambassador
Location : Everett WA
Compensation : $20.25
Hours : MUST be flexible / / Daily shifts would be 1 : 00pm - 6 : 30pm, weekend event shifts would be 3 : 00pm-8 : 00pm.
The Spirit of the Position :
The Booth Ambassador is responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner, processing parking payments in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy, being alert and aware of the immediate surroundings and any security concerns. They ensure the booth always remains clean and tidy and notify the Manager or Supervisor of any concerns. The Booth Ambassador works closely with other team members to ensure that service, cleanliness and safety standards are met, and customers always feel welcomed and appreciated.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Arrive on time in full uniform and be ready to start your shift.
Look up and make eye contact and smile and acknowledge customers as they walk or drive by.
Always thank customers and wish them a good day at the end of each transaction.
Accurately process validations ensuring the proper department code has been entered each time
Set up and take down appropriate signage as scheduled.
Answer questions about how to sign up for monthly parking or obtain validations.
Provide directions to Courthouse and County directory for public departments.
Ensure adequate ticket stock in spitters at start and end of shift, replenish ticket supply as needed.
Clean the immediate booth area with broom and dustpan daily.
Clean any dirty booth windows.
Immediately report incidents or any safety concerns to the Manager or Supervisor on duty.
Provide breaks for other employees such as other Ambassadors as requested.
Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and great customer service.
Answer customer questions concerning parking or other general inquiries in a courteous, professional and effective manner, referring questions to the supervisor when applicable.
Accurately collect parking payments when fees are due fees and provide correct change.
Understand and know how to handle different types of parkers, tenants, visitors, employees, administration, etc.
Answer questions about how county employees may sign up for a pool car.
Be knowledgeable of the area and buildings to be able answer questions.
Assist in directing traffic at entrance or exit when asked.
Direct incoming vehicles to open parking spaces if needed.
Determine traffic flow in times of equipment failure or during periods of construction.
Maintain and repair parking equipment as trained by Manager and Supervisor.
Complete legible and accurate shift paperwork and run the proper shift reports on register at end of shift.
Submit paperwork and tickets organized in order on paperwork as directed
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.
Field additional duties if they are assigned.
Education :
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience :
Strong customer service experience.
Cash handling experience is required.
Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
Skills :
Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
Physical Demands :
Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
