Per Diem Clinical Nurse - Critical Care Float Pool

Join our dynamic Critical Care Float Pool today! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain and practice critical care skills in areas such as Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and our intermediate care ICU - the MSICU.

As an RN in the Critical Care Float Pool, you will enhance your skills with additional competencies in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care areas. Consider becoming a vital part of the highly skilled nursing team at the region's only Level I trauma center!

The Clinical Nurse plays an essential role in creating a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues. You will engage with empathy, active listening, and recognition of each team member's contribution to our mission.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and special tests, and document care as per policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as ordered and collaborate with the nursing team to create individualized Plans of Care for each patient.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.
