Job Summary
Crumpton Welding Supplies is looking for a Outside Sales Representative to join our team! As a Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of the company dealing with all customer questions about our product and services. It will be your job to keep customers happy and constantly expand your knowledge of new company products, services. You will also be challenged with handling customer complaints and retaining customers through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Be able to greet customers, answer questions, engage customers with merchandise, and provide exceptional customer service
• Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations
• Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals
• Strong product knowledge gained through training and research
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate deliveries with internal teams.
• Answer phone calls from customers
• Build customer relationships
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in medical, welding, fabrication, and industrial markets.
• Promote our full product line including welding gases, hard goods, safety supplies, and equipment.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and profitability goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
• Attend customer events and training sessions as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or customer service roles
• Ability to learn and operate computer system, supplier websites, etc
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Strong phone presence and comfortable making outbound calls
• Professional appearance
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Personable and friendly attitude
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Understanding of sales principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge about welding and gas industry is a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required
