Relief Housekeeping Assistant (multiple openings & shifts)
Base pay range : $31.00 / hr - $35.68 / hr
Locations : Palo Alto, CA — Stanford Health Care
Shifts : Rotating - 08 Hour; Days, Evenings, or Nights. Relief position with no guaranteed hours or benefits. Availability throughout the week including weekends and holidays is required for at least one shift block.
Overview : Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Stanford Health Care's mission is to heal humanity through science and compassion, one patient at a time. Environmental Services (EVS) interacts daily with patients, staff, and visitors, creating opportunities to impact and enhance the patient and employee experience. EVS is responsible for general aesthetics, cleaning, and waste streams and is an essential part of Infection Prevention initiatives for multiple buildings. This position starts as a Relief Housekeeping Assistant with potential to apply for Part-Time or Full-Time roles with guaranteed hours and benefits after competency checks.
What You Will Do
- Provide cleanliness and sanitation of surfaces; handling and disposal of solid and biohazardous waste (blood and other bodily fluids)
- Floor care : dust mop, wet mop, vacuum, buffer, spot and spillage removal
- Clean patient rooms, non-patient rooms, restrooms, and restocking of restrooms; clean general areas
Shifts and Availability
The more days of availability you have, the more shifts you can pick up. A Relief Position does not have a set schedule or guaranteed hours or benefits. After passing competency checks, Relief employees may apply for Part-Time or Full-Time positions with guaranteed hours and full benefits. All frontline Housekeeping Assistants start as Relief Housekeeping Assistants.

Base Pay Scale : Generally starting at $31.90 - $35.68 per hour. Pay may be set based on experience, education, and other factors. This pay scale is not a promise of a specific wage.
