As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a high-performing cloud engineering team focused on modernizing internal developer platforms and infrastructure services. You will drive large-scale technical initiatives, from CI / CD system improvements to cloud cost optimization and service observability. This role emphasizes operational excellence, user-centric design, and cross-functional collaboration, allowing you to influence both technology strategy and day-to-day delivery. You will mentor engineers, champion best practices in cloud-native architectures, and help the organization adopt innovative tools and processes. Your work will directly impact developer efficiency, platform reliability, and the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality services at scale. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engagement in cloud infrastructure and automation.

Accountabilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on cloud engineering, automation, and platform delivery.
  • Define and execute architecture and design strategies for cloud services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Manage roadmaps across multiple focus areas, aligning team priorities with organizational strategy and user experience goals.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
  • Champion innovation, security, and compliance while maintaining robust cloud service operations.
  • Promote best practices for observability, FinOps, CI / CD, IAM, and security improvements.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years managing engineering teams.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale technical and organizational transformations, particularly in cloud-native platforms and services.
  • Deep expertise with containerized production infrastructure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, IAM, IdP, WAF, and Gateway APIs.
  • Proficiency with multiple cloud platforms, particularly GCP.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and demonstrates curiosity for learning new technologies.
