Job descriptionUnder direct guidance, conducts basic engineering studies and computations, develops design and cost estimates, lays out drafting work, correlates / compiles data, conducts and analyzes tests and evaluates equipment performance. May be assisted by technicians, or experienced engineers. Investigates and analyzes basic problems and develops appropriate solutions. Drafts less complicated reports and assists with more complex reports. Prepares reports, operating instructions, and project outlines in connection with fundamental engineering assignments. Learns and follows appropriate business procedures. Assists in planning and design of engineering projects. Performs basic engineering and design work. Conducts field analysis and inspections. Drafts specifications as required for basic projects for which there are precedents. Completes related computations and drafts schematics and diagrams. Interprets engineering specifications. Coordinates project reviews and implementation plans between individuals and sections. Ensures timely communications occur, as needed, on project activities. Studies and attends classes on LCRA procedures, equipment, and systems. Gathers engineering information by traveling to various locations (substations, power plants, etc.) as necessary. May assist more experienced engineers in the interpretation of basic engineering drawings or manufacturers' specifications for field personnel. Communicates any recommended changes to the responsible engineer for the correction. Knowledge of applicable laws, principles, standards, codes, and documentation specific to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job Skill in analyzing and solving problems Skill in verbal and written communication Skill in designing, interpreting diagrams, schematics, and drawings Basic skill level in document management systems Intermediate skill level in office productivity applications (such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) Basic skill in reading and interpreting diagrams and prints Skill in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications for field personnel - Skill in analyzing reports for quality assurance Ability to work in a team environment Ability to balance competing and high priority work demands Work

Duration : 12 Months contract
Pay Rate : $ 33 / HR on W2.

- Bachelors degree in engineering on below fileds :
- engineering physics
- engineering technology
- mathematical science
- physical science or related science.
- Driver s license
Job Description : General Overview :
Under close supervision of a licensed professional engineer, performs entry level engineering assignments for Electrical power Substations by assisting with engineering projects and design work in the Control & Protection area.

Environment : - Work hours are spent in an office environment and / or field environment
Physical Demands : - Work involves frequent finger / hand manipulation in using a keyboard and mouse - Work involves frequent standing and / or walking.
