As a Full-Time Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team by conducting specimen collection, receiving samples, and ensuring proper referrals. Your dedication to excellence will help us maintain the highest standards of patient care.

- Keep your working area and collection materials clean and organized while replenishing supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to manage departmental supplies effectively.
- Conduct all types of specimen collections including venipuncture, capillary collections, drug screening, and cultures.
- Ensure compliance with specimen requirements to maintain integrity during collection.
- Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Utilize laboratory computer systems for documentation and management of specimens and orders.
- Engage in various responsibilities, including on-call duties, inventory management, special projects, and cross-training opportunities.
- Complete performance evaluations and competency assessments for team members in a timely manner.
Job Requirements : Education / Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory, or Medical Assistant program with a focus on phlebotomy is preferred.Proficient in medical terminology, data entry, and organizational skills.Experience
Prior experience in phlebotomy for at least one year is preferred.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is preferred.Phlebotomy Tech (PBT) certification or state licensure preferred in Louisiana.All associates are required to obtain needed certifications within designated time frames in line with CHRISTUS Health policies.
