Union Tank Car Company is seeking applicants for a Switchman at our full-service rail tank car repair shop in El Dorado, KS to assist in various departments as needed by plant production. The Company's regulatory, engineering and commercial expertise make UTLX the preferred source of railcars and services for many of its customers. Primary Job Responsibilities : Below is a general description of the essential functions of this job. This is not an exhaustive list and employees in these classifications frequently may be required to perform additional duties. Not all classifications will be required to perform all job functions.

• Operates locomotive to transport material and spot rail cars utilizing instructions from a switch list.
• Regularly operates locomotive in a congested area and must use considerable caution to prevent damage to rail cars or accidents to employees.
• Operates switches and directs flow of cars in rail yard.
• Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner and reports work hazards.
