Twin City Staffing is seeking a skilled quality engineer to join a leading custom welding and metal fabrication company in Saint Paul, MN. This role focuses on maintaining and improving product quality, implementing quality control processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production and fabrication operations.
Location : Saint Paul, MN
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM start
Compensation : $85,000 - $90,000 / year

Responsibilities of the quality engineer :
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection processesConduct root cause analysis and lead corrective / preventive action initiatives (CAPA)Ensure compliance with ISO standards, AWS D1.1, and customer-specific requirementsSupport weld inspections, dimensional checks, and material traceabilityCollaborate with fabrication teams to address quality issues and implement process improvementsManage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and maintain quality documentationTrain production personnel on quality standards and proceduresParticipate in internal and external auditsUse measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and weld gaugesWork with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materialsQualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentStrong understanding of welding processes, blueprints, and GD&TExperience with ISO 9001 and other quality management systemsProficient with quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 8D, Fishbone, etc.)Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP / MRP systemsExperience in metal fabrication, machining, or custom weldingAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or similar certificationKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) principlesAdditional Information :
