Job description

What You'll Do

As a Structural Engineer (EIT), you'll work closely with experienced engineers and learn how to :

  • Analyze loads and perform engineering calculations.
  • Design waterfront and industrial structures, including :

Gangways and trestles

  • Marine terminals
  • Harbors, marinas, and breakwaters
  • Mooring and berthing structures
  • Piers, wharves, and bulkheads
  • Infrastructure for the energy and aerospace industries
  • Vehicle and pedestrian bridges
  • Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Support site visits, condition assessments, and technical reportsCollaborate with civil, geotechnical, surveying, and permitting teams to broaden your expertise.

    • What We're Looking For

    This role is ideal for engineers who are just getting started in their careers. Here's what you need to succeed :

  • BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Passed the FE exam, or plan to within 6 months.
  • Familiarity with structural software (RISA 3D, SAP2000, AutoCAD) is a plus, but not required.
  • Exposure to geotechnical engineering is helpful and considered a plus.
  • Basic understanding of structural principles and interest in design codes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, take initiative, and contribute to team success.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for fieldwork.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
