Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a current CA RN license and significant large-volume ER experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a large, high-volume level II trauma center
  • Night shifts, 4x12 hours per week from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am
  • Frequent exposure to a patient census over 90,000 annually
  • Use of Epic EMR system
  • Weekend shifts required according to department needs
  • No floating required outside the ER unit
  • First-time travelers accepted if minimum experience is met
  • Epic EMR training provided during orientation
  • Maximum of 5 days pre-approved time off allowed per contract, with no time off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year holidays
  • Modules for orientation and training completed pre-start and during onboarding
  • Locals accepted for this position

  • Active CA RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Minimum 2.5 years recent experience in a large volume (>

    • 90,000 annual visits) level II trauma ER

  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • No prior permanent employment with the facility
  • No Nursys hits
  • Reference from within the past 2 years required
