Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional projects across multiple business units.
- Apply a consultative approach to assist with functional, technical, and operational, planning and design for the implementation of new systems and / or product enhancements.
- Own Book of Work reporting for assigned projects and is responsible for accurate, timely updates.
- Comprehend overall project scope, dependencies and how individual project deliverables align to them.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Lead and direct the work of others in a matrix, cross-organizational project team.
- Execute best practice project management capabilities aligning to TCB APMO methodology and standards.
- Effectively communicate project updates to all levels of organization in a manner appropriate to the targeted audience, from individual contributor team member to C-Suite executive.
- Effectively facilitate cross-functional, technical and business process discussions in a productive manner while not necessarily being the Subject Matter Expert on the topic at hand.
- Prepare executive-level materials and present to executives, vendors, and customers.
- Manage and build relationships with key decision makers from project inception to post-deployment whilst simultaneously ensuring sponsor and end-user satisfaction.
- Balance delivering results with fostering a collaborative approach while problem solving in a group setting with the project team.
- Create detailed execution plans and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate project portfolio management software, proactively identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path across multiple work streams.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and work with other department managers to obtain commitments on assignments.
- Work closely with Program and Portfolio level leadership, keeping tight lines of communication open and listening to direction when course correction is needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years working within a PMO / project management deliveryBachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and practices (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)Advanced knowledge of project management software / tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Planview, Agile Place, Microsoft Project, Daptiv etc.)Advanced knowledge of or involvement with the creation of work plans, project scopes and capacity planningAdvanced knowledge of end-to-end system development life cyclesAdvanced ability to adapt to changing prioritiesAdvanced ability to influence, consult and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationAdvanced ability to work with business functions to align technology solutions within business strategiesAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into requirementsAnalytical mindset, focused on results with critical thinking, research and problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong time management skills and a proven track record of meeting various deadlinesAdvanced ability to manage competing priorities on concurrent large, complex projects, initiatives, and deliverablesStrong formal business writing skillsStrong technical proficiency in the use of MS Office productsAdvanced knowledge of more than one disciplineThrives in a fast-moving, quickly changing atmosphere.Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across the organization at all levels.Results-oriented and self-motivated; self-starter with capability to work independently and as part of a team.The duties listed above are the essential functions, or fundamental duties within the job classification.
