Overview
Thomasnet.com, a premier B2B sourcing platform for the industrial and commercial sectors, seeks a seasoned and strategic Senior Product Manager to spearhead the evolution of supplier-side features and advertising products. In this role, you will define and execute the product vision and roadmap for tools and services that empower our supplier network to connect with qualified buyers and grow their businesses. You will lead the development and enhancement of a suite of products to maximize supplier success on the platform, including ad products, supplier profiles and profile management tools, lead generation tools, and analytics reporting products. You will shape the value proposition for suppliers and drive the growth of advertising revenue streams.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap : Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategic roadmap for the supplier side of the Thomasnet.com platform. Identify market opportunities, define key product initiatives, and prioritize features based on supplier needs, business objectives, and competitive analysis.
Advertising Product Management : Own the advertising product portfolio, including tiered supplier programs (Claimed, Registered, Verified, Verified + Video), display advertising, newsletter sponsorships, and other promotional opportunities. Manage pricing, packaging, and performance optimization of these offerings.
User-Centric Development : Collaborate with research to understand supplier workflows, challenges, and motivations; translate insights into detailed product requirements and user stories.
Cross-Functional Leadership : Partner with engineering, UX / UI design, marketing, sales, and data science to deliver high-quality products and features.
Data-Driven Decision Making : Define and analyze KPIs to measure the success of supplier features and advertising products.
Market Intelligence : Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in B2B e-commerce and digital advertising to inform strategy and identify opportunities for innovation.
Qualifications
Experience : 5+ years of product management in a B2B SaaS or platform environment with a proven track record of launching successful products.
B2B and Advertising Acumen : Strong understanding of B2B business models and the digital advertising ecosystem; experience with lead generation, online marketplaces, and supplier-focused features is highly desirable.
Strategic Thinking : Ability to translate business goals into a compelling product vision and actionable roadmap.
Analytical Skills : Proficiency with data and metrics to back up assumptions and drive actions.
Leadership and Collaboration : Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Aptitude : Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and understand technical trade-offs.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
