The MGN Foundation seeks an Entry Level Event Assistant to support live event marketing, community outreach, and brand activation efforts in North Chesterfield, VA and surrounding areas. This entry-level position provides paid training, practical experience in event operations, and a clear pathway for career growth within a small, mission-driven team.
Primary responsibilities :
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and on-site logistics to ensure efficient operations and positive attendee experiences.
- Represent the organization professionally at community events, conveying key messages and distributing promotional materials.
- Engage attendees, answer questions, and collect contact information and feedback as appropriate.
- Support coordination with partner organizations, local businesses, and vendors to facilitate event needs.
- Maintain accurate records of event activities, attendance, and feedback; provide observations and recommendations to improve future events.
- Perform light administrative tasks related to event planning, including preparing materials and assisting with inventory management.
Qualifications :
Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging diverse audiences in person.Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Reliable transportation for local travel to events and availability for occasional evenings or weekends.Positive, professional demeanor and willingness to learn; previous experience in customer service, retail, volunteer work, or event support is beneficial but not required.A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.Benefits and opportunities :
