Part-Time Receptionist / Check-In Clerk
Serve as Part-Time Receptionist / Check-In Clerk at the City's Cannabis Dispensary. Responsible for verifying age and identity, receiving pre-orders, entering customer information and customer service.
Duties generally include, but are not limited to the following :
- Greet customers, verify identification, and create a warm and welcoming experience.
- Regulate the number of customers in the sales area as required by store policy.
- Operate the POS system and enter customer information accurately.
- Receive pre-orders and check-in patients for pre-orders.
- Answer phone calls politely and answer questions, transfer calls as needed and take messages.
- Control shoplifting and employee theft.
Position expectations / requirements :
Follow all applicable City and State laws and regulations and store policies, relating to Cannabis sales.Ensure proper ID checks.Maintain strict confidentiality and customer privacy.Maintain vestibule cleanliness, customer convenience and proper traffic flow.Must be able to work scheduled hours, weekends to include Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and call-ins as required. Store hours are generally Monday through Saturday 8 : 00 a.m. to 10 : 00 pm. and Sundays 11 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m. Hours worked will be varied and will be determined by job requirements and responsibilities.Must be comfortable working in a retail environment with fluctuating customer volume.Creates a favorable image of the City in contacts with the Public, Elected Officials and other Organizations.Must exercise initiative, discretion and independent use of judgment over matters of low significance.Keeps Cannabis Dispensary Manager informed of any development, which he / she / they will need to know to function effectively.Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent and / or as assigned by the Manager.Qualifications / prerequisites :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Previous employment experience in retail or customer service.Ability to obtain a valid cannabis worker permit or badge (if required by State).Other prerequisites :
Must be 21 years of age or older.Ability to pass any City and / or State-required background check.Pre-employment drug screen prior to starting employment.Position frequently reaches, grasps, twists and turns.Ability to sit for long periods of time.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, with or without accommodation.Job Performance and Attendance Record in Current / Most recent job :Met standard performance rating.Met standard attendance record.Additional factors to be considered :
