Certified Sterilization Technician (3rd shift)

About the Company

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as a certified sterilization technician. This position is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring every item meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and infection control.

About the Role Shift Time : 3rd Shift- 11 : 00pm-7 : 30am

The position is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring every item meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Follow all ANSI / AAMI standards
• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively.
• Document missing or damaged instruments.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory levels.
• Handle all instruments and customer-owned items with care to prevent damage.
• Perform daily computer tasks and paperwork related to processing and tracking.
• Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
• Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to company quality standards and infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with internal team members, operations personnel, and distribution staff.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certifications and competencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
