ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM :

TelevisaUnivision Dallas is looking for a Technical Director to join our team!

Univision Dallas is looking for a creative Technical Director who will be tasked with the development and production of content for news, sports, and commercials for TV, radio, digital, and local events. Primary job responsibilities include coding and technical execution utilizing the Ross Overdrive Automated Production Control Environment.

This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to edit and create multimedia (video / graphics / audio), manipulate creative artwork, and perform camera work in the studio and on the field. You will direct during live broadcasts and work with news producers to create and review graphic rundowns for live broadcasts, among other technical requirements in the control room. Applicants must have a good understanding of broadcast design and multimedia technologies. Candidates need to be able to take a project from start to finish under minimal supervision and have knowledge of content production for linear, digital, and social / emerging platforms. Most importantly, the perfect candidate should have a good attitude, be proactive, and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY :

• The Technical Director is responsible for providing the technical production and promotional support for live broadcasts, news, and commercials productions including TV, radio, digital, and local events.
• Collaborate with editorial and technical personnel to produce high-quality content.
• Operate robotic camera and video shading controls.
• Set up and maintain studio equipment and lighting.
• Create and utilize templates to automate production functions including technical directing, audio mixing, video playback, and graphic insertion.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work with tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well under extreme deadlines and multi-task in order to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
