Amentum is seeking a Fire Safety Specialist for multiple OCONUS locations contingent upon award. The Fire Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of fire detection, alarm, control, and suppression systems within the organization. This role requires expertise in fire protection systems and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving fire safety hazards. The specialist will work closely with facility management to maintain a safe environment for all occupants and ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: OCONUS. Travel up to 25% of the time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds for short distances, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, and have full dexterity. Outside work in hot and cold, or wet weather, is often required. Protective devices are required to avoid injury. Certification: Reach-back capability with a professional engineer licensee resource available, holding, at a minimum, a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III. Must be a certified technician in fire protection systems, legally qualified to practice in the United States, or possess equivalent qualifications approved by the Contracting Officer (CO).
