Description : Job Summary :
The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store goods within the warehouse or production facility. This role ensures materials are handled efficiently and accurately to support production, shipping, and inventory control operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials, products, and pallets.
Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, or storage areas.
Stack, organize, and store materials in designated locations.
Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure timely movement of goods.
Keep accurate records of material movement, inventory counts, and transfers.
Identify damaged materials or equipment and report issues promptly.
Assist with general warehouse duties, including cleaning, organizing, and labeling areas as needed.
Qualifications and Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and safety protocols.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions :
Work is performed in a warehouse or production environment.
May be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Shift work or overtime may be required based on production needs.
