Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Sioux Falls, South Dakota location.

Duties : Develop software that satisfy business requirements leveraging knowledge of mainframe processing and languages that include COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. Gather and analyze business requirements to ensure completeness and understanding of business expectations. Write software design documents, detailing required software modifications to applications. Perform maintenance and support of mainframe applications to ensure applications are running without interruption and with efficient use of mainframe resources. Coordinate the installation of application software changes. Perform code reviews and debug COBOL software. Assist with user acceptance testing and unit testing, make source code modifications, and resolve defects. Provide on call support for production issues and support incident resolution. Perform project conceptualization and sizing activities to determine development effort required. Collaborate with business users and other IT teams in forming project requirements. A telecommuting / hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements : Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 7 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Consultant, Consultant, or related position involving developing applications in Mainframe environment using COBOL. 5 years of experience must include : Application development using COBOL; JCL for transaction processing; Databases including DB2, IDMS, and SQL; MVS Mainframe environment and File-AID; CICS (Customer Information Control System); Software tools including, IBM HOD, ChangeMan, CA11, and Jira; Unit testing and modifying source code; and UAT and integration testing, and resolving defects.
