Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on the premises. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or concerns. Complete required reports and documentation related to security-related activities and incidents in a timely and accurate manner. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Security Guard - Retail Patrol Coverage
As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Coverage in Elmont, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence. Your routine patrols and visible presence will contribute to a secure environment for visitors and staff. You will also deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with the public, and uphold our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. - Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
