We are now hiring for an experienced Housekeeping Director to lead the environmental services department in a respected skilled nursing facility.
Position Overview :
The Housekeeping Director will oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. This role requires a hands-on leader who is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of appearance and infection control.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage, train, and schedule housekeeping and laundry staff
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and infection-control regulations
Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms and common areas
Implement cleaning procedures and quality control systems
Oversee inventory, ordering, and proper use of supplies / equipment
Collaborate with Nursing and Administration to support resident satisfaction
Lead by example with professionalism, empathy, and strong work ethic
Qualifications :
Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping (healthcare or hospitality preferred)
Skilled in team leadership, communication, and organization
Strong knowledge of cleaning protocols and infection-control practices
Ability to multitask and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment
