Responsibilities
Perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, and management of pathologyEvaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with oral health conditions requiring surgical interventionCollaborate with referring dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient careAdminister anesthesia including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and IV sedation in accordance with state regulations and patient needsMaintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA and practice policiesEducate patients and / or guardians on post-operative care, risks, and expected outcomes of proceduresEnsure surgical operatory is sterile and equipped with appropriate tools, supplies, and staff supportParticipate in continuing education and stay current with advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgeryContribute to the practice’s reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate careQualifications
DDS / DMD from an accredited dental schoolCompleted residency in Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeryBoard-certified or board-eligibleActive Washington State Dental License (or eligible to obtain)Active DEA License
