Work location : Texas Health Dallas Core work hours : Monday - Friday; 8 : 00a-5 : 00p; We have a tight-knit ED Team in our fast-paced, high volume Trauma Level II 56-bed Emergency Department which includes a fast track unit, chest pain dedicated suites and a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) unit. We average about 200 patients a day and are prepared to provide care for severely injured trauma patients. We are a Magnet designated facility that was the first hospital in Dallas to achieve the Chest Pain Center accreditation and was awarded the American Heart Association's Mission : Lifeline Silver Quality Achievement Award. Job Qualifications
Education Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Experience 3 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e., charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor, supervisor) Required Supervisory or Managerial Experience Strongly Preferred Emergency Department Experience Strongly Preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support with in 90 Days Required And PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support with in 90 Days Required And CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually with in 90 Days Required And TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course with in 6 Months Required Skills Knowledge of industry standards : organization, theory, principles, and research processes, quality improvement and change management techniques, financial analysis, budget process and planning, accreditation and regulatory standards, strategic planning principles, ability to assess nursing care requirements based on nursing principles, scope of practice, and regulatory standards.
