Job Title : CNC Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a CNC Machinist where you will operate advanced CNC milling or lathe machines to produce precise parts. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for high-quality manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mill or lathe machines with precision.
  • Assist with saw operations as needed.
  • Polish parts to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Perform minor maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
  • Measure parts to a tolerance of + / - .005.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating either a mill or lathe.
  • Ability to read and interpret parts specifications.
  • Proficiency in basic shop mathematics.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Work Environment

    Work in a precise manufacturing job shop that fosters a supportive union environment. Training will occur on the 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, after which you will transition to the 2nd shift from 2pm to 12am. The 2nd shift operates on a four-day work week, offering two paid 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute paid lunch. No need to bring your own tools as everything is provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $32.00 / hr.
