Job Title : Legal Recruiter- Big Law

Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Legal Recruiter to join a prestigious Big Law firm in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal industry, particularly within large law firm environments, and a proven track record of recruiting top-tier legal talent. This role is pivotal in shaping the firm's talent pipeline and maintaining its reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Talent Acquisition Strategy :
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans for lateral attorneys, partners, and legal support staff.
- Collaborate with practice group leaders and HR to forecast hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with firm goals.
OCI & Law School Engagement :
Lead the firm's OCI program, including coordination with law schools, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communications.Represent the firm at law school events, career fairs, and networking functions.Oversee summer associate program logistics, evaluations, and conversion strategies.Pre-Summer Associate Programs :
Design and manage pre-summer associate initiatives such as early outreach, mentorship pairings, and pre-OCI networking events.Partner with Diversity & Inclusion teams to support pipeline-building efforts for underrepresented law students.Track engagement and outcomes to inform future programming and hiring decisions.Candidate Sourcing & Engagement :
Source candidates through direct outreach, referrals, job boards, and legal recruiting platforms.Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified legal professionals.Conduct initial screening interviews and assess candidate fit based on experience, credentials, and cultural alignment.Relationship Management :
Cultivate relationships with law schools, legal associations, and external recruiters.Serve as a brand ambassador for the firm in the legal community.Process Management :
Coordinate interview schedules, feedback collection, and offer negotiations.Ensure a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.Market Intelligence :
Stay informed on legal market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor activity.Provide strategic insights to leadership on hiring trends and talent availability.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of legal recruiting experience, ideally within Big Law or a legal search firm.Strong understanding of law firm structures, practice areas, and attorney career paths.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and legal recruiting databases (e.g., Leopard Solutions).Ability to manage multiple searches and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Attributes :
Experience recruiting for lateral partner and associate roles.Familiarity with Dallas legal market and regional talent pools.Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.Results-driven with a proactive and collaborative approach.
