Job descriptionJob Summary : Key Responsibilities : Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants, and assist with training new team members. Manage inventory and food supplies, ensuring freshness and compliance with health and safety standards. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations, in compliance with health codes. Monitor kitchen performance and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and quality. Handle any kitchen-related issues, including staff conflicts, food quality concerns, and safety issues. Maintain records of food costs, waste, and inventory levels for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred. Proven experience as a cook or chef in a professional kitchen, with at least [X years] in a lead or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety regulations, and culinary techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
