Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : O'Fallon, Illinois (62269) – Illinois healthcare jobs

Setting : Operating Room (OR) – General Surgery Procedures

Start Date : October 20, 2025

End Date : January 18, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 10-hour day shifts (Wednesdays off), with intermittent call coverage (vacations and call-ins)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2330-$2500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Illinois RN license (required for all Illinois nursing jobs)

Current BLS certification

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience

Strong clinical skills in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and / or robotics preferred; experience in multiple surgical specialties is a plus

Must submit all requested time off (RTO) at time of application

Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles outside of O'Fallon, IL

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to surgical patients

Assist with a range of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, neurosurgical, robotic, and general surgeries

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain a sterile environment and strictly follow infection control protocols

Participate in call coverage as needed to support the operating room team

Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies
