Environmental Services Technician

Job Summary
Cleans patient care and non-patient care areas throughout the facility including patient rooms, laboratories, offices, restrooms, Emergency department, Surgery, Ambulatory Anesthesia PACU department, off-site clinic and office locations, dietary, and ancillary areas to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive health care environment.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses Certifications and / or Registrations
Valid Washington State Drivers License and access to dependable transportation.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify and employ communication strategies appropriate to the audience. Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to clean buildings and furniture. Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules. Ability to read and understand labels and instructions particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products. Ability to work with little or no supervision.
