Job descriptionSafely operate company trucks to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites, facilities, and customer locations Load and unload heavy equipment, securing loads with chains and straps in compliance with DOT safety standards Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues or concerns Conduct light mechanical work, diagnostics, and routine maintenance on heavy equipment when not driving Assist shop technicians with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and service tasks as needed Maintain accurate records for transport and repair activities Provide professional, courteous service during equipment deliveries and customer interactions Adhere to all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures Valid Class A CDL license required Experience transporting and securing heavy equipment with chains and straps Mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy equipment or diesel repair preferred Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and equipment in varied environments Strong knowledge of DOT and load securement regulations Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or as part of a team Physically capable of handling loading, unloading, and repair tasks

Overview :
We are seeking a versatile Transport Driver / Heavy Equipment Technician to join our material handling team. This role combines safe and efficient transport of heavy equipment with hands-on maintenance and repair support in the shop. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL license, proven experience with load securement, and a mechanical background working on heavy equipment.
