Job Summary :
- 5 to 10 years of experience in design of component / assembly for aero derivative engines ideally in the power generation or power services industries
- Recreate digital representations of aeroderivative engine components utilizing available scans, existing hardware, and / or detailed 2-D drawings.
- Develop solid NX 3-D models and corresponding component manufacturing drawings for each replicated part.
- Must have experience in design of Power turbine components, Nozzles, Turbine blades, Shrouds, Disks, and case of power turbine.
- Apply industry-standard tolerancing practices, leveraging both contractor's in-house expertise and customer's guidelines.
- Provide support for supplier development activities related to specified aeroderivative components.
- Adhere to the modeling and drawing architecture established by the company Product Definition Engineering (PDE) team throughout all activities.
- Provide engineering analysis in support of hardware departure records for aeroderivative engine components.
- Develop baseline stress models for rotating equipment-including disks, spools, and shafts- by leveraging aircraft engine component design and analysis expertise. These models will support the evaluation of component failure / distress investigations as well as making improvements to new make and developing repair modifications.
- Create standard work processes, including design guides and aeroderivative-specific design methodologies, aligned with aircraft engine industry best practices for stress analysis and lifting of rotating equipment components.
- Support supplier development activities and qualifications for designated aeroderivative components for industrialization of repair hardware and new make spares.
