Pharmacy Buyer

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Pharmacy Buyer to join our staff in the Hospital Pharmacy! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the Department : The CMH Hospital Pharmacy compounds and dispenses medications by means of standard physical and chemical procedures to fill medication orders and prescription requests issued by physicians and other qualified prescribers. Ensures safe and efficient medication distribution throughout the organization and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

A typical day will include : Coordinates and oversees 340B program compliance to ensure maintenance of quality and safety standards.

  • Routinely submitting orders to wholesalers and manufacturers
  • Processing clinic / facility orders
  • Collecting and retaining proper documentation to ensure compliance with DSCSA requirements
  • Overseeing interdepartmental billing for all Clinic, EMS, and LTC requisitions

Job Requirements :

  • Education : HS diploma or equivalent
  • Experience : Customer service; proficient in trade / generic names; hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Skills : Ability to exhibit customer service skills that demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of each patient and ability to navigate electronic medical records
  • Licensure / Certification : Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Missouri; CPhT certification preferred
  • Physical : Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
