Senior Accountant Summary :

Prepares and submits weekly payroll, assigned tax reports and monthly bank and account reconciliations, and assists in monthly closings.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities :

Weekly Payroll Processing.

Perform periodic reviews / audits of employee and payroll records to ensure individual data is accurate and group data is consistently applied as appropriate.

Oversee the tax reporting function as performed by Paylocity personnel by performing periodic reviews to verify the accuracy of those filings to include all monthly, quarterly and annual filings; as well as review W2 data to confirm accuracy and distribution to employees.

Sales Tax Reporting.

Review monthly transactions processed through Avalara.

Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns prepared by Avalara.

General Accounting.

Prepare Monthly bank reconciliations, advance billings, and general ledger reconciliations.

Perform month end closing processes.

Prepare ad hoc analysis of accounts, as requested.

Prepare the quarterly IFTA fuel tax and other periodic business tax filings.

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree (Accounting Major) and minimum of Three years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
