For these reasons, we are seeking a People Resources Director (HR Director) to join the leadership team.
Job Description : Leads initiatives in human resource arena to support and positively impact KSC goals. Partners with Chief People Officer to provide support in all areas of HR with a major focus and responsibility in crew development (2-3 direct reports and 2-3 indirect reports), Guest relations, Workers Compensation and Safety, Compliance, Payroll and Benefits.

Crew Development / Crew Relations :
Leads and manages People Resource Business Partners on a daily basis.Integral part of developing the team to cross train and promotionResponsible to internal communications regarding benefits, or company policies.Conducts training and educational workshops for operations ManagersInfluence a coaching culture to all levels of leadership throughout the company.Influence a coaching culture to all levels of leadership throughout the company.Mentors direct reports through smaller (less complex) crew relations for all locations.Takes the lead on larger (more complex) crew relations for all locations; works with Directors, General Managers and Vice President to resolve issues in a timely manner and within the scope of our culture.Partners with / advises Operational Leaders in disciplinary actions and terminations.Maintains in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of crew, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Participates in legal cases with data gathering, support, interviews and written summariesGuest Relations :
Oversees at the home office all crew and guest inquires, complaints, compliments, or concerns with all KSC restaurants and support centers.Works closely with our liability insurance carrier to ensure claims are being handled properly and Guests are being treated to our standards.Oversees investigations and tracks results stemming from Guest call or inquiry relating to one of KSC restaurants or support centers.Safety and Workers Compensation Program :
Participates in annual negotiations with self-funding insurance broker / carrierWorks with People Resource Team to outline and implement training programs about crew safety procedures and accident protection and prevention.Developing and distributing educational materials, inspecting company facilities, and recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulationsManages People Resource Team to create monthly meetings with safety rep’sManages audits and tracks all worker’s compensation claims including all required forms and timelinesLeads quarterly reviews with TPA to ensure claims are being handled properly; takes appropriate action if needed.Oversees the monthly medical bills for payment. Works with People Resource Team to ensure they are accurate and on time.Oversees the Return to Work Program and ensures it is being usedConducts the Serve Safe Class for all new ManagersCoaches all crewmember and managers on proper safety proceduresResearches and analyzes data pertaining to any trends or patterns and communicates the results to the appropriate people.Participates in outside legal for any settlements, depositions, investigations for workers compensation cases.Legal and Compliance Programs :
Leads any DFEH or EEOC claimsAssist / Lead in any lawsuits (class action or other)Works with outside counsel to ensure KSC policies are in compliant with current state and federal laws. Updates annual handbooks.Overviews state law for all states our restaurants are doing business in to keep updated on any changes to the law.Has knowledge of legal issues, commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the labor law field.Collects and analyzes HR data, and makes quarterly presentations to Executive team on recommendations.Benefits Overview :
